Jen's Music Review
Ministry of Sound: Chilled House Session 3
It's no secret that I'm not a massive dance fan. Regular readers will have come to realise I have a penchant for indie-rock (even more so if it has some sort of a female influence as with The Joy Formidable, TDD, Warpaint, Metric, Best Coast and the YYYs). As a lover of music in general I can appreciate a good compilation and Ministry of Sound always deliver solid anthologies - whether you have a passion for house, trance, dubstep, bass or euphoria. Back when I was a little wilder (prior to suffering three-day hangovers), I did love a good afterhours party. There's nothing better than kicking back with friends following a fun night out, spinning cracking tunes and catching up on the evening's entertainment. With that in mind, Chilled House Session 3 would make for a perfect house-bash soundtrack. It's ice cool, but in a way that will transport you to a sun-soaked holiday bar, cocktail lounge and packed festival tent all in one go. With 40 fantastic tracks and two mixes, this release makes me want to reach for a mojito and forget about the world for a good few hours. There are no bad songs on here, but I have to single out the following beauties: Soundprank's Beginnings, Dankann's I Keep Breathing, Deadmau5's Jaded, Avicii's Fade into Darkness (sampled by Leona Lewis on Collide), Moguai's Oxygen (feat. Fiora), Kaskade's Eyes (feat. Mandy Gledhill), Mango's Here We Go, Groove Armada's Paper Romance (feat. Fenech-Soler) and Yasmin's Finish Line (Freemason's Pegasus club mix). For not a devotee of dance, I sure admired this.

A little old (Saving All My Love For You, I Wanna Dance With Somebody), a little new (Million Dollar Bill, I Look To You), a little borrowed (I Will Always Love You, My Love Is Your Love), a little blue (It's Not Right But It's Okay, I Have Nothing). Whitney Houston: 9 August 1963 - 11 February 2012.
